From August 6, 2017, to August 13, 2017, in Agros, Cyprus, seven students from the Secondary School Complex in Chojna participated in the "Hobby Education" project as part of the Erasmus+ program. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Douzelage Association in Chojna, the Secondary School Complex in Chojna, and partners from Cyprus, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Denmark. The aim of the project was to promote cultural differences, the idea of ​​volunteering, and building tolerance in a society based on cultural diversity. The project partners were engaged in joint work, in which they could express their own opinions, but also gather new experiences that could modify views on European society and encourage reflection on the future of Europe and the European Union. During the project, participants presented their country, culture, traditional dishes, drinks, music, and popular dances. The classes were conducted using activating methods used in non-formal education. Working in mixed nationality groups was an extremely interesting experience, and the project participants had the opportunity to learn from each other, leading discussions in working groups, developing a common position, reaching an agreement, and presenting the results of the group's work by speaking at a forum. Presenting stereotypes regarding the nationalities participating in the project was an interesting experience.

During their stay in Cyprus, the project participants visited the ancient archaeological sites in Kourion., w Limassol Średniowieczne Muzeum Cypru oraz wspaniałą promenadę, szerokie plaże i piękne nabrzeże, a w Nikozji przejścia graniczne Checkpoint Lidras Street  usytuowane na Starym Mieście, dzielące Cypr na dwie części grecką i turecką.

Participating in the project allowed us to learn about Cypriot culture, national dishes, dances, and customs. We formed new friendships, and the organized activities allowed us to acquire new skills and competencies.

All classes were conducted in English. At the end of the project, participants received a Youthpass Certificate.
