The Douzelage Association in Chojna and the Chojna City Council, together with partners from Malta and Hungary, are implementing the "Youth – Participation – Citizenship" project under the Youth in Action program. A meeting of the project partners was held in Chojna from April 10-13, 2014. The Polish side of the project is represented by students from the Secondary School Complex No. 1 in Chojna, members of the Douzelage European Club.

The project aims to increase young people's understanding of democracy, support decision-making, promote participation in local community life, present the rights of European Union citizens, and encourage voting in the next European Parliament elections. Thirteen participants from Poland, 10 from Malta, and 10 from Hungary are participating in the project.

On April 10, a team-building event for the partners took place. On April 11, all project participants took a group photo with the Mayor of Chojna.
