From April 24-27, 2014, a group representing the Douzelage Association in Chojna participated in the 39th Delegates' Assembly of the European Association of Douzelage Town Twinning Towns in Sigulda, Latvia. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss plans for future projects and partnerships in 2015. The opportunities offered by implementing projects under the Erasmus+ program were also presented.

Asikkala (Finland) has become the organization's new partner city. The Douzelage Towns Association currently consists of 27 cities from 27 EU countries and is the only organization of its kind in Europe.
