On October 5-7, 2017, members of the Douzelage European Club participated in a seminar on "Non-formal learning – the Danish model." The trip was organized by the Secondary School Complex in Chojna and the Douzelage Association in Chojna. Representatives of the Douzelage Association from the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, and Slovenia participated in the seminar. The trip aimed to familiarize participants with the structure of the education system in Danish schools and to present unconventional ways of teaching and spending free time in educational institutions.

The stay began with a presentation of the Youth School of Holstebro by the school’s director, Mr. Soren Hinrichsen, who familiarized the guests with the school’s activities and its range of extracurricular and educational activities.
